What is a Challenge Arcade?

A challenge arcade is a new exciting type of immersive entertainment facility with interactive gaming, and physical challenges. Instead of a traditional video game arcades where you are pressing buttons to control the main character, you are the main character! Challenge arcades first originated in Sweden and have since evolved with the release of one of the most popular game shows in UK history called The Crystal Maze.

Themed Rooms

– In a typical challenge arcade, either the entire facility has one light theme, or each game is individually themed. PlixPlex is split into four distinctly themed zones that permeate both in and out of the games. 

Meta Progression

– In other challenge arcades, you might earn points to reach the top of a leaderboard, and your reward is the inherent fun you have playing the game. At PlixPlex, you can unlock achievements by approaching each game in a unique way. Each game has three achievements to unlock, win free prizes and gain access to hidden boss levels! We can even track your group’s achievements across multiple visits so you can pick up where your squad left off when you return.
